Country Sausage Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 pound L&S country sausage
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 6 slices of bread, cubed
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook the country sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Add the cubed bread, shredded cheddar cheese, cooked sausage, and optional bell peppers and onions to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
- Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
