Description
Classic Southern pulled pork sandwiches always come with cole slaw on top. Here’s a great recipe to round out an incredible L&S Pulled Pork Sandwich.
Classic Cole Slaw
Ingredients:
- 1 small green cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 carrot, peeled and grated
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon L&S Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon celery seeds
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and thinly sliced red onion.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper until smooth. If you’re using celery seeds, add them to the dressing mixture.
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until all the ingredients are well-coated.
- Cover and refrigerate the cole slaw for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld together.
- Give it a final toss before serving.
