Description
The word “pastrami” comes from the Romanian word pastrama, which means “to preserve.” The popular pastrami we know today, especially the iconic New York-style pastrami on rye, was created by Jewish immigrants in the U.S. in the early 1900s. It became a beloved deli staple, blending Romanian tradition with American ingenuity!
