Asian Lettuce Wraps with Ground Chicken:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 package L&S Spicy Cilantro Chicken sausage (Bulk makes it easier)
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots (optional)
- 1 head of butter lettuce or iceberg lettuce (separate leaves for wraps)
Instructions:

Cook the chicken: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and Spicy Cilantro Chicken sausage (out of casings) and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through (about 6-7 minutes).

Add garlic and ginger: Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Season the chicken: Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir everything together until well combined. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Add crunch and flavor: Stir in the green onions, cilantro, and shredded carrots (if using). Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Assemble the wraps: To serve, spoon the ground chicken mixture into individual lettuce leaves. Top with extra cilantro or green onions if desired and enjoy!
